West Lake Hall

West Lake Hall is a cultural heritage site protected by Datian County.

West Lake Hall is located in Daru Village, Jiyang Township, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

West Lake Hall is a Ming Dynasty-style ancestral hall building, facing northeast and laid out with one main hall and no front courtyard. It has a rectangular floor plan, measuring 28 meters in width and 14 meters in depth, with a total area of 392 square meters. The structure includes a large open space in front of the hall, the main hall, and auxiliary rooms on both sides. The main building has three bays in width and nine columns in depth, featuring a mixed post-and-lintel and Dougong (bracket arm) structural system with a flush gable roof. This standalone hall-style building is of high architectural specification, using large construction materials, with a high roof pitch and deep beam lifting.

On February 27, 2017, the Datian County People's Government listed West Lake Hall in the eighth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units.

Daru Village: Daru Village is located in the southeastern part of Jiyang Township, Datian County, approximately 16 kilometers from the township government. The village has a total population of 1,349 people, comprising 5 natural villages and 14 villager groups. It currently has 33 formal party members, 2 probationary party members, 4 aspiring party members, and a village committee consisting of 6 members. The land area spans 11,000 mu, including 600 mu of arable land, 8,000 mu of forested land, and 3,500 mu of ecological conservation forest, with a forest coverage rate of 60%.
