Maiyuan Hall

Maiyuan Hall is a cultural heritage site protected by Datian County.

Maiyuan Hall is located in Xusikeng Village, Junxi Town, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

Maiyuan Hall is a Ming Dynasty–style ancestral hall building, oriented southeast to northwest, featuring a one-courtyard, two-hall layout. The structure has a rectangular floor plan, measuring 20 meters in width and 17 meters in depth, with a total area of 340 square meters. It consists of enclosing walls, an open courtyard, a lower hall, a central patio, a main hall, and side wing rooms. The main hall is a two-story wooden structure: the first floor has three bays in width and seven columns in depth, while the second floor also has three bays in width but six columns in depth, using a post-and-lintel construction method with a flush gable roof. Between the inner and outer columns on the first floor is a gablet roofed corridor, and wooden stairs on the outer eaves corridors of the side wing rooms lead up to the second floor. The center of the middle bay on the second floor houses an offering table.

On February 27, 2017, the Datian County People's Government listed Maiyuan Hall in the eighth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units.

Xusikeng Village: Located in the northern part of the county, Xusikeng Village borders Dayoutou Village of Humei Township to the east, Dongkeng Village to the west, Zhoutian Village to the south, and Xiadi Village of Qiianping Township to the north. It is 9 kilometers from the county seat, with the village at an elevation of 500 meters.

During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Xusikeng Village was under the jurisdiction of the 32nd District. In February 1950, after the establishment of the county government, Xusikeng came under Zhoutian Township in the First District.
