Xinquan Town: a township under the jurisdiction of Liancheng County. During the Song Dynasty, it was known as Biaozhengli; during the Republic of China period, it was established as Xinquan Township. During the Second Revolutionary Civil War, the Xinquan County Soviet Government was established here. After 1949, it became the Kangle District, later renamed Xinquan District, and in 1984, it was reorganized as Xinquan Township. Located in the southern part of the county, it is 48 kilometers from the county seat and borders Changting, Shanghang, and Longyan counties (cities).
