There's a New Attraction in Paris Now – The Historic Building of the Former Paris Stock Exchange Is Being Converted into a Cutting-Edge Modern Art Museum. This Adaptive Reuse Project Not Only Breathes New Life into the Old Space but Also Offers Travelers the Opportunity to Explore a Historic Landmark.
According to Lonely Planet, the Paris Bourse de Commerce is a neoclassical building constructed in 1763. Originally a grain exchange, its unique architectural feature is its circular dome. By the mid-19th century, it became a hub for stock trading, and more recently, it has been transformed into an art museum showcasing the collection of billionaire François Pinault.

François Pinault, the renowned owner of French luxury fashion brands Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, also possesses a private art collection worth €1 billion. Interestingly, this museum is also part of a rivalry among Parisian billionaires — his competitor, the founder of luxury brand Louis Vuitton, opened his own museum back in 2014. Both billionaires house invaluable works by world-famous European and American artists such as Picasso and Andy Warhol.
The museum is scheduled to open in 2019, though specific details have yet to be announced. However, Pinault has stated that this museum will become a leading force in contemporary art.
