Cai Gai Ancestral Hall

Cai Gai Ancestral Hall is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Cai Gai Ancestral Hall is located in Miaoshang Village, Miaoqian Town, Liancheng County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Built during the Qing Dynasty, it faces north and covers an area of approximately 4,865 square meters, with a construction area of 4,311 square meters. The front section of the hall is Si Xin Tang, and the rear section is Ju Huan Tang. Si Xin Tang consists of a gate courtyard, gate tower, gatehouse, courtyard yard, stone archway, lower hall, upper hall, and side wings; Ju Huan Tang consists of a gate courtyard, gate tower, gatehouse, enclosed courtyard, courtyard yard, lower hall, middle hall, upper hall, and side wings. The architecture features exquisite craftsmanship and intricate carvings.

Protected area: The surrounding walls extend 10 meters outward on all sides.

In 2018, Cai Gai Ancestral Hall was designated as a Ninth Batch Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the Fujian Provincial People's Government.

On October 7, 2019, Cai Gai Ancestral Hall was included in the Eighth Batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Miaoshang Village: Miaoshang Village

Miaoshang Village is located within the town area of Miaoqian Town, covering an area of about 2.5 square kilometers, with arable land of 1,050 mu and mountainous land of 7,800 mu. The village comprises two natural villages, 13 villager groups, and has over 600 households with a population of 2,865. The main surnames are Jiang, Shangguan, Yu, and Wu. The village enjoys convenient transportation, bordering National Highway 319 to the north, only 2 kilometers from the Xinqiao Guanzhuang Interchange of the Longyan–Changting Expressway and 7 kilometers from National Highway 205. There is a primary school in the village. The area is rich in manganese ore, and it hosts the provincial enterprise—Liancheng Manganese Mine. More details about Miaoshang Village++
