The Jiang Clan Ancestral Hall in Miaoshang is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Jiang Clan Ancestral Hall in Miaoshang is located in Miaoshang Village, Miaodian Town, Liancheng County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Constructed during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1736–1795) and renovated multiple times, it faces north and is located southward, covering an area of about 1,480 square meters, with a construction area of 585 square meters. It is composed of a gate tower, entrance room, courtyard, main lower hall, upper hall, and wing rooms. The outer gate tower features an eight-character style with four pillars, three bays, and three stories. Both the upper and lower halls have five bays in width and employ a mixed wooden frame structure of raised beams and interlocking brackets. In 1944, the wooden columns of the front eaves of the lower hall and the central columns of the upper hall were replaced with square brick columns, and the front wall of the lower hall’s eaves was reconstructed as a Western-style brick archway.

Protected area: An extension of 10 meters outward from the surrounding walls.

In 2018, the Jiang Clan Ancestral Hall in Miaoshang was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Miaoshang Village: Miaoshang Village

Miaoshang Village is located within the town center area of Miaodian Town, covering a village area of approximately 2.5 square kilometers, with arable land of 1,050 mu and mountainous land of 7,800 mu. The village comprises two natural villages, 13 villager groups, and over 600 households with a population of 2,865. The main surnames are Jiang, Shangguan, Yu, and Wu. The village enjoys convenient transportation, bordering National Highway 319 to the north, only 2 kilometers from the Xinquan Guanzhuang interchange of the Longyan–Changting Expressway and 7 kilometers from National Highway 205. There is a primary school in the village. The area is rich in manganese ore, hosting the Liancheng Manganese Mine, a provincial-level enterprise. More detailed information on Miaoshang Village++
