Zhang Family Residence - Siyuan Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Zhang Family Residence - Siyuan Hall is located in Beicun Village, Xinquan Town, Liancheng County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Constructed during the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1851–1861), it faces west, spans a total width of 51.55 meters and a depth of 39.08 meters, with a built-up area of 1,338 square meters. The structure comprises walls, a rain courtyard, a gate tower, an entrance hall, a central courtyard, a middle hall, another courtyard, an upper hall, and wing rooms on both sides. The upper hall features five bays in width and four columns in depth, with a hybrid wooden frame structure of raised beams and intercolumnar brackets, a flush-gable roof, and a clay-tamped floor. Siyuan Hall was the former residence of General Zhang Nansheng.

Protected area: An additional 20-meter buffer zone extends outward from all sides of the building.

In 2018, Zhang Family Residence - Siyuan Hall was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Xinquan Town: A township under the jurisdiction of Liancheng County. During the Song Dynasty, it was known as Biaozheng Li, and in the Republican era, it was established as Xinquan Township. During the Second Revolutionary Civil War, the Xinquan County Soviet Government was set up here. After 1949, it became Kangle District, later renamed Xinquan District, and then changed to Xinquan Township in 1984. Located in the southern part of the county, it is 48 kilometers from the county seat and borders Changting, Shanghang, and Longyan counties (cities). It covers an area of 185.4 square kilometers with a population of 31,000. The township government is seated in Xinquan. Both National Highways 319 and 205 pass through the area.
