The Former Site of the Red Army's Northern Expedition Anti-Japanese Vanguard in Tangqian is a Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

The Former Site of the Red Army's Northern Expedition Anti-Japanese Vanguard in Tangqian is located in Tangqian Village, Tangqian Township, Liancheng County, dating back to 1934.

Description: Originally known as Baojian Hall, it was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1875–1908), facing southwest and situated northeast, covering an area of approximately 1,433 square meters with a construction area of 642 square meters. It consists of a gate tower, courtyard, lower hall, upper hall, and left and right wing rooms, arranged in a symmetrical layout. The floor is made of rammed earth, and the overall structure is relatively well-preserved. In July 1934, the Red Army's Northern Expedition Anti-Japanese Vanguard stayed at Baojian Hall while passing through Tangqian. The building still retains intact Red Army slogans such as “Down with Imperialism” and “Overthrow the Landlords and Distribute the Land.”

In 2018, the Former Site of the Red Army's Northern Expedition Anti-Japanese Vanguard in Tangqian was designated as part of the ninth batch of Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
