Tangshan to Taiwan Stone Carving Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Tangshan to Taiwan Stone Carving Park is located in the Tianfu Service Area of the Shenhai Expressway, 25 kilometers from the county town. Covering an area of 2,000 acres, it was completed and opened to the public in November 2003 with an investment of 100 million RMB. It is among the first national agricultural tourism demonstration sites. The scenic area is composed of four parts: the highway service area, the stone carving park, the sightseeing tea plantation, and the Memorial Park of General Pi Dingjun. Key attractions include: Spring Pool Exploration, Summer Stream Murmuring, Autumn Charm of Maple Woods, Winter Rain on the Winding Bridge, Min-Tai Folk Culture Museum, the stone carving park, the Memorial Park of General Pi Dingjun, the Camellia Oil Workshop, and more—blending natural ecology with Min-Tai culture. The Min-Tai Folk Culture Museum is a classic example of traditional Min-Tai architecture, showcasing historical farming and daily-life tools used by local people over centuries, such as grain barrels, plows, water wheels, and bridal sedan chairs. The first section of the stone carving park, “From Tangshan to Taiwan, Pioneering New Frontiers,” depicts the journey of southern Fujianese people crossing to Taiwan hundreds of years ago to reclaim land and make a living. The theme sculpture “The Pioneer,” carved from over 390 pieces of granite, stands 18 meters tall and weighs 600 tons, symbolizing the hardworking spirit of the ancestors who migrated from the mainland to Taiwan. The second section, “Passing the Torch for a Century, Generations Bound by Tea,” vividly illustrates how early settlers passed down the tradition of tea cultivation through generations. The third section, “Starting Anew at Sixty, Repaying the Homeland with Greenery,” portrays the scene of Mr. Li Ruihe, Chairman of Tianfu Group, giving back to his roots and starting a new venture in his sixties. The fourth section, “Bold Ambition Astonishing the Sage, A Tea Chronicle for a United World,” uses a globe embedded with copper tea leaf shapes to express Tianfu Group’s grand vision: “Rooted in Fujian, Fragrant Across China, Renowned Worldwide.” The Memorial Park of General Pi Dingjun uses stone carvings to depict the military life of this distinguished general who rose from slavery to becoming a patriot, dedicating his life to the nation until his heroic death—an image that commands deep respect. In 2005, seven resort villas named “Ruiyun Mountain Villa” and a training center building called “Dan Yan Mountain Villa” were added. The entire scenic area uses stone carvings to illustrate the deep bonds between people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait—shared bloodlines, cultural heritage, similar customs, analogous spiritual beliefs, and a common love for tea. It serves as a profound educational base for patriotism and life philosophy, as well as a beautiful ecological sightseeing destination.
