Liutao Abstract Gallery is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Liutao Abstract Gallery is located on Laoyashan Mountain in the eastern part of Liutao Peninsula, bordering the Taiwan Strait to the east, Laoyashan to the west, and scenic sandy beaches and tree-lined belts to the north and south. The scenic area is approximately 35 kilometers from the Zhaojiabao Interchange of the Tongsan Expressway.

Laoyashan is a coastal landscape characterized by sea-eroded and weathered granite geological formations. The rocks here, after millions of years of scouring by sea waves and windblown sand, have developed reddish-brown veins due to special minerals, forming vibrant patterns across intricate gullies. Every angle presents a painting-like view, with ever-changing, mysterious scenes resembling masterpieces of modern abstract art. Hence, it was named the "Abstract Gallery" by geologists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Exposed rocks on the hillside take on animal-like shapes such as “A Contemplating Sheep,” “A Spirit Turtle Emerging from the Sea,” “Zhu Bajie Getting Married,” “A Sea Lion Whispering,” and “A Young Swallow Spreading Its Wings,” all strikingly vivid and lifelike. The gentle, golden sandy beaches along the coast and lush windbreak forests create an especially magnificent and refreshing scene. Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences have praised this place as “a rare and unique landscape in China” and “a premium tourism resource,” making it an ideal site for developing a coastal resort. The golden beach area stretches approximately 9 kilometers, suitable for developing projects such as a seaside bathing beach and beach sports. The Red Stone Area features colorful red and brown rocks; the Unique Rock Area showcases wildly shaped rocks on the hillsides that are remarkably lifelike; and the Abstract Gallery Area boasts nature’s most extraordinary craftsmanship—breathtaking abstract rock paintings.
