Caopu Tangying Palace

Caopu Tangying Palace is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Caopu Tangying Palace is located in Changjiaoying Village, Suian Town, Zhangpu County, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Description: Originally built during the Yuan Dynasty. It faces south and consists of a front hall, a rear hall, and corridors on the left and right sides, covering a construction area of 256 square meters. The front hall was built in the 11th year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1831), featuring three bays in width, two pillars in depth with a front porch, and a post-and-lintel beam frame with a flush gable roof; the rear hall was built during the Ming Dynasty, featuring five bays in width, four pillars in depth with eleven rafters and front and rear porches, and a post-and-lintel beam frame with a hip-and-gable roof. The square pillars with inscriptions inside the halls are remnants from the Yuan Dynasty.

In 2013, Caopu Tangying Palace was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Protection boundary: 20 meters outward from the perimeter of the palace.

Suian Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Zhangpu County. It is the county seat. Established as Suian Town in the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940). Renamed Chengguan Town in 1956, then Chengguan Commune Resident Brigade in 1958, and reinstated as Suian Town in 1982. Located in the central part of the county, downstream of the Luxi River. Covers an area of 1,247 square kilometers, with a population of 870,000. National Highway 324 passes through.
