The Former Site of the Third Army Headquarters of the Central Red Army’s Eastern Route Army is located in Suibei Village, Suian Town, Zhangpu County, dating back to 1932.
Description: In April 1932, the Central Red Army’s Eastern Route Army captured Zhangzhou. In accordance with Mao Zedong’s directive to “create a small Red Army and establish a small Soviet area,” the Third Army moved into Zhangpu, and its headquarters was stationed here. The site is commonly known as the Red Building. Built in the early 20th century, it faces south and is a two-story brick-and-wood structure with an internal corridor. The building has a red-tiled roof and covers a construction area of 360 square meters. Its walls still bear Red Army slogans such as “Welcome brothers to join the Red Army.”
