Xinqi Ruins

The Xinqi Ruins are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui Province.

The Xinqi Ruins are located in Taihe County, Fuyang City, dating back to the Warring States and Han dynasties.

The Xinqi Ruins, also known as the Chengzi Ancient City Ruins, are located in Chengzi Administrative Village, Zhaomiao Town, Taihe County. During the Warring States period, this area was part of the State of Wei. In the fifth year of the Jianwu era (29 AD) during the Eastern Han Dynasty, the 16th-generation descendant of Confucius was enfeoffed as the Marquis of Yingshaojia, and in the 13th year of Jianwu (37 AD), he was re-enfeoffed as the Duke of Song, with the area designated as the Duchy of Song, and its city became the new capital of the Song state. Counties were established here after the Jin Dynasty. Today, remnants of the ancient city walls can still be faintly seen, and numerous artifacts were unearthed here during the Republican era. The site features unique and rich cultural content along with complex stratigraphic relationships, making it of great significance for further research on the cultural types and chronological classification of Taihe County.

In 2019, the Xinqi Ruins were announced as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Anhui Province.

Zhaomiao Town: Covering a total area of 64 square kilometers, Zhaomiao Town has 59,544 mu of arable land and a population of 5,800 people. It administers 34 village committees and 128 natural villages. The Taihe–Qingqian Highway runs north–south through the town, while the under-construction Jieshou–Woyang Highway crosses from east to west. The total length of rural roads open to traffic in the town reaches 45 kilometers. The town is known for its distinctive agricultural features, including a high-quality seed breeding base of 10,000 mu, 3,000 mu of greenhouse vegetables, and 800 mu of premium grapes and other fruits.
