Laobingji Mosque

The Laobingji Mosque is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Laobing Mosque is located at the southern end of Laobingji. Built during the Wanli era (1573) of the Ming Dynasty, it has a history of over 420 years and originally served as a place of worship for the Hui people in Laobing Store. A horizontal plaque hangs above the main gate inscribed with “Ancient Mosque”; the second gate features a plaque reading “Guided by Principle”; the north lecture hall bears a plaque inscribed “Reverence and Sincerity”; and the main prayer hall’s pillars display a couplet: “The True God has no form or shadow, yet all things bear witness; to contemplate creation is not to reach for the distant — the one true principle resides within the heart.” In 1983, the county government allocated special funds to renovate six prayer hall rooms, six south lecture hall rooms, five north lecture hall rooms, as well as the main gate and the second gate, giving the mosque a completely renewed appearance.
