Cheng Enpu (1882–1943), courtesy name Zhizhou, was the sixth son of Cheng Wenbing, who served as the Viceroy of the Yangtze River Navy during the Qing Dynasty. At the age of 20, he enrolled in the Anhui Military Preparatory School. In the 31st year of the Guangxu reign (1905), he traveled to Japan to study at the Tokyo Samei Gakusha (Peerless Hall), where he met Sun Yat-sen and joined the Tongmenghui (Chinese Revolutionary Alliance). Recognizing his exceptional talent and intelligence, Sun Yat-sen held him in high regard and appointed him, along with Sun Yuyun (Shaohou), to oversee revolutionary activities in Anhui. Soon after, Sun dispatched Cheng and Lü Yin’nán, among others, back to China to establish domestic revolutionary organizations. Yuanzhai Town: Located 13 kilometers east of downtown Fuyang City in Yingdong District, Yuanzhai Town covers an area of 56 square kilometers.
