Jin'an Mining Park

Jin'an Mining Park is a National AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Anhui Jin'an Mining Park scenic area is an industrial tourism destination developed based on iron sandstone mining, iron concentrate processing, new material production, along with well-equipped leisure and entertainment facilities. In June 2011, it began the process of applying for National AAA-level tourist attraction status, and in January 2012, it was officially rated as a National AAA-level tourist attraction by the National Tourism Attractions Quality Rating Committee.

The National AAA-level Jin'an Mining Park tourist attraction is located in Fanqiao Township, Huoqiu County. The site showcases the unique appeal of industrial tourism through iron ore mining, iron concentrate production, and the comprehensive utilization of backfill materials, complemented by comprehensive leisure, entertainment, dining, and accommodation facilities. The scenic area mainly consists of eight attractions: the main shaft, auxiliary shaft, crushing workshop, screening workshop, grinding and selection workshop, backfill station, backfill material plant, and the living and leisure area.

In its active pursuit of National AAA-level tourist area status, Anhui Jin'an Mining Co., Ltd. has since August last year further intensified efforts in factory appearance and environment improvement. It clarified the significance and effective measures for such improvements, and invested over 3 million yuan to construct new sports, cultural, and entertainment facilities. These initiatives have further enhanced the quality of the factory area, enriched its cultural content, and fostered a strong corporate culture atmosphere.

Jin'an Mining Park is the third A-level scenic area in Huoqiu County and also the first National AAA-level industrial tourism destination in our province. The successful establishment of this scenic area will have a positive and far-reaching impact on promoting and showcasing the rich tourism resources of Huoqiu.

Anhui Jin'an Mining Co., Ltd. is a China-Hong Kong joint venture, located in Fanqiao Township, Huoqiu County, Anhui Province. The mining area spans 4.679 square kilometers, with geological reserves of 86 million tons of iron ore within the site. The Jin'an Mining construction project has accumulated investments of 700 million yuan. After expansion and renovation completed in the second half of 2009, the annual mining and processing capacity reached 3 million tons, with a service life of 20 years. In 2009, amid the global financial crisis, a sluggish iron concentrate market, and immense cost pressures, the company implemented a strategy of "breaking through adversity and overtaking on the curve." It focused on both internal management and market development, promoting the corporate spirit of "striving for expansion and continuous surpassing." United as one, all employees overcame numerous challenges and hurdles, achieving outstanding results in production, operation, and enterprise management. First, production set a new record. A total of 2.63 million tons of raw ore were mined for the year, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%. The beneficiation plant processed 2.78 million tons of raw ore, up 23% year-on-year, producing 820,000 tons of iron concentrate, a 30.6% increase. Second, economic performance demonstrated new strength. The company achieved impressive results with annual profits of 152 million yuan and tax payments of 150 million yuan, ranking second in Lu'an City and first in Huoqiu County in tax contributions. Third, key technical and economic indicators made new breakthroughs. Currently, four metrics—labor productivity of employees, electricity consumption per unit, fresh water usage, and shovel loader efficiency—have entered the top three nationwide among similar mines. The average grade of raw ore reached 24.33%, the hourly capacity of ball mills improved to 67t/h, the average grade of concentrate reached 67.12%, and the moisture content of concentrate was 7.19%. Fourth, overall corporate strength reached a new level. The company has been awarded honors including "National AAA Creditworthy Enterprise," "Top 100 Enterprises in Anhui," "Top 20 Enterprises in Lu'an City," "Advanced Party Committee of Huoqiu County," and "Civilized Advanced Collective of Nansteel Group." Fifth, employee income reached a new standard. Despite the global financial crisis, the company achieved the goals of "no production halt, no layoffs, and no salary cuts." In 2009, the average annual income of employees was 36,000 yuan, 4,000 yuan higher than in 2008. Sixth, safety and environmental standards met new benchmarks. There were no major safety accidents throughout the year. The company obtained its safety production license as scheduled and successfully passed the environmental impact assessment review for the 3-million-ton/year expansion project by the National Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
