Tianzhuangzhai Scenic Area is a National AAAAA-level Tourist Attraction, a National Forest Park, and a Patriotic Education Base.

Tianzhuangzhai is located in the southwestern part of Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, and combines the designations of a National AAAAA-level Tourist Attraction, a National Forest Park, a National Nature Reserve, and a National Geopark.

Tianzhuangzhai not only features a multitude of natural landscapes including "majestic peaks, cascading waterfalls, forest seas, gorges, clouds and mist, serene pools, and beautiful waters," but also boasts profound historical and revolutionary culture. Its simple and rich local customs complement the ecological scenery. As a result, Tianzhuangzhai is hailed as an ecological mountain, a resource-rich mountain, a cultural mountain, and a historical mountain. Known historically as "Duoyun Mountain" (Cloudy Mountain), the scenic area is often shrouded in mist, with towering peaks and graceful waterfalls. Its highest peak stands at 1,729.13 meters above sea level, making it one of the tallest in the Dabie Mountains. Historically referred to as the "First Pass Southeast of Wu and Chu," the area has a forest coverage rate of 96.5%, ranking among the highest in national forest parks. It is celebrated as "the last piece of pristine forest in East China." The 108-tiered waterfall cluster here offers abundant water flow and diverse forms, with 18 of them having drops exceeding 50 meters—something truly unique in East China. The Baima Grand Canyon Scenic Area, a newer highlight of Tianzhuangzhai, is where the mountain’s waterfall streams converge, serving as the source of the Huai River, with water quality rated as Grade I national surface drinking water. The Baima Peak Plank Walkway, built 3,000 meters long along the mountainside, is an ideal place to build courage, improve fitness, and unwind while connecting with nature. The Dabie Mountains Geological Museum allows visitors to experience the wonders and charm of nature. In the Former Headquarters of the Liu-Deng Army’s Thousand-Mile March into the Dabie Mountains, the arduous and glorious history of the revolution is recreated, inspiring gratitude toward the ancestors and love for the motherland. At Tianzhuangzhai, you can also take a cable car to enjoy the thrill of soaring above the landscape and overlooking nature; go rafting to feel the joy of breaking through narrows into open spaces; dine in a hanging pot for a taste of heartfelt local hospitality; join a bonfire party to relax and let loose; and participate in nearly 30 other recreational activities including the Ten Great Bowls cuisine, farmhouse stays, fruit picking, fishing, tea ceremonies, and dragon boat dances—offering visitors a chance to experience the warmth, enthusiasm, and simplicity of the local people.

Currently, Tianzhuangzhai Scenic Area has established a comprehensive service system covering food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping, and entertainment. Tourism infrastructure such as transportation, electricity, and communications has been gradually improved, making it an ideal destination for those seeking to return to simplicity and connect with nature. It serves as a great spot for leisure, vacation, and sightseeing, as well as an educational classroom for patriotism and scientific research.
