The Jinzhai County Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural tourism attraction, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

The Jinzhai County Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is located on the mountainside west of the Shihe River in Meishan Town, the county seat of Jinzhai County, Anhui Province. The Jinzhai County Revolutionary Museum is situated within the martyrs' cemetery. The Jinzhai County Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery was first built in April 1983, covering an area of 8,000 square meters with a building area of 2,810 square meters. The main building of the Jinzhai County Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery features an inscription of the name "Jinzhai County Revolutionary Museum" written by [Name], while the left side displays a bronze plaque inscribed with the words "National Patriotic Education Base for Youth" written by General Secretary [Name].

In 2003, a comprehensive renovation was carried out along with a reorganization of the exhibits. The museum now includes a central hall, as well as exhibition halls dedicated to the revolutionary history of Jinzhai, Jinzhai generals, modern-day Jinzhai, notable figures from Jinzhai, Jinzhai martyrs, and calligraphy and paintings by generals and celebrities. The museum houses detailed historical materials and rich content, fully showcasing the revolutionary struggle history of the E-Yu-Wan Soviet Area and the development of modern-day Jinzhai.

On the hillside behind the Red Army Memorial Hall, there are over a hundred tombs of generals and Red Army soldiers, where the remains and ashes of deceased generals such as Lin Weixian, Teng Haiqing, Zhan Huayu, Chen Xiang, and Yu Ming, as well as veteran Red Army soldiers, are laid to rest. These brave Red Army heroes and commanders, who once fought bravely on the battlefields for the revolution, have now returned to their hometown—the place where they devoted themselves to the revolution and fought valiantly.

The Jinzhai County Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Tower is located in the center of the cemetery. Approved for construction by the Anhui Provincial People's Committee in June 1960, it was completed in October 1965. The tower stands 24 meters tall and presents a majestic and magnificent presence. The front of the tower is inscribed with four gilded characters, "Sparks Igniting the Prairie," personally written by Marshal Liu Bocheng. The front base of the tower is adorned with white marble reliefs, while the back features inscriptions on black marble from the memorial stele of the Jinzhai County Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Jinzhai County People’s Government. The area around the martyrs’ tower and the steps on both sides are lined with lush pines and cypresses, symbolizing solemnity and reverence throughout the seasons. The square in front of the martyrs’ tower covers an area of 2,500 square meters and can accommodate up to 5,000 people.

In 1993, a Red Army Memorial Hall was built north of the martyrs’ tower. The hall was named by General Hong Xuezhi. The Jinzhai County Red Army Memorial Hall has a floor area of 1,050 square meters and features a two-story reinforced concrete structure in an octagonal shape, resembling the iconic octagonal hats worn by Red Army soldiers. This design symbolizes the everlasting spirit of the Red Army.

Jinzhai is the homeland of the Red Army and the cradle of its generals. The Jinzhai County Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a large-scale memorial complex that integrates a museum, memorial hall, and Red Army tombs. It is a nationally protected key martyrs' memorial site. Every year, tens of thousands of visitors from across the country come here to pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs and receive education on revolutionary traditions.
