Lizi Pass

Located in Caihe Village, Wujiadian Town, Jinzhai County. It was named after the abundance of chestnuts in the area, sits at an elevation of 1,020 meters, borders Sengtasisi Township of Luotian County in Hubei Province to the southeast, is about 13 kilometers east of Tongluo Pass, and 5 kilometers northeast of Qingtai Pass. It can be regarded as a hub of the passes in the southern part of the county. According to the Luotian County Annals from the second year of the Guangxu reign, the Lizi Pass in Duoyun Township featured: one gatehouse, 30 zhang of stone walls, and three barracks. In late June 1864 (the third year of the Tongzhi reign), the Taiping Army and the Nian Army were stationed here. Today, very little remains except for the gate, which still stands. The site is now occupied by the Luotian Lizi Pass Medicinal Materials Farm.

Wujiadian Town: Wujiadian Town is located in the southwestern border of Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, in the heart of the Dabie Mountains, bordering the Yangtze River to the south, connecting to the Beijing-Kowloon Railway to the west, adjacent to the Tianzhuangzhai National Forest Park tourist scenic area to the east, and linking to the Bodaofeng National Forest Park in Hubei Province to the south. It serves as the junction between two provinces (Anhui and Hubei) and two counties (Jinzhai and Luotian). In April 1994, the former three small townships—Xizhuang, Baofan, and Wu’dian—were merged into Wujiadian Town, which administers 25 villages, 267 neighborhood groups, and has a population of 28,076.
