On May 9, 1929, during the Lixia Festival Uprising, rebel forces gathered at the Zhu Family Ancestral Hall in Banzhu Garden, where they announced the establishment of the 32nd Division of the 11th Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army. The divisional headquarters was also located here. The Zhu Family Ancestral Hall was built during the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, facing south. Originally a clan ancestral hall for the Zhu family, it consisted of three main halls and side rooms, totaling twenty-nine rooms, all constructed with blue bricks and small tiles. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it was taken over as public property and subsequently served as the site for the township government, people’s commune, and district committee.
