The former site of the Soviet Government of Lu'an's Sixth District and Fourteenth Township is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jinzhai County and a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Soviet Government of Lu'an's Sixth District and Fourteenth Township is located in the ancestral home of the Wang family in Dawan Village, Huashi Township. Dating from the modern era, it is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

On June 21, 2019, the former site of the Soviet Government of Lu'an's Sixth District and Fourteenth Township was listed as part of the eighth batch of cultural heritage protection units in Jinzhai County.

Protected area: the heritage site itself and an area extending 2 meters northwest of the wall foundation, and 5 meters southeast, northeast, and southwest.

Construction control zone: 100 meters beyond the protected area in the northwest, southeast, northeast, and southwest directions.

Dawan Village: Dawan Village is situated in the southwestern part of Huashi Township, nestled at the foot of Maoding Mountain — a picturesque area known for its lush greenery and beautiful scenery, with an average elevation of over 800 meters. It borders the state-owned Dapingcao Forest Farm and the former Shuizhu Township to the east; neighbors Guoziyuan Township to the west; adjoins the state-owned Mazongling Forest Farm to the south; and connects to Chapeng Village to the north. Dawan Village was formed in 2008 through the administrative division adjustment, merging the former Dawan Village, Maoding Village, and Qiaobian Village. The current village office is located in the central area of the former Qiaobian small street in the old Dawan Township.
