On June 21, 2019, the former detention site of the Political Security Branch of Chicheng County Government was listed as part of the eighth batch of cultural heritage protection units in Jinzhai County.

Protected Area: The site itself, plus a 3-meter buffer zone to the east, south, west, and north beyond the walls.

Construction Control Zone: A 50-meter buffer to the east and west, and an 80-meter buffer to the south and north beyond the protected area.

Wawuji Village: Wawuji Village is situated in the far northwest of Tangjiahui Town, on the border between Anhui and Henan provinces, within the mountainous regions of the over 1,500-meter-high Jinpingtai and Foshan Temple ranges. The current Wawuji Village was formed in April 2008 through the consolidation of four former villages — Waji, Shangtang, Zhanshan, and Foshan — and their 49 villager groups, making it the most populous village in the town and one of the most populated in the county.
