The former site of the Red 27th Division's reorganization is located at Jiaxue Long in Shiliang Group, Wawuji Village, Tangjiahui Town. Dating from the modern era, it falls under the category of important modern historical sites and representative architecture.

On June 21, 2019, the former site of the Red 27th Division's reorganization was designated as part of the eighth batch of cultural heritage protection units in Jinzhai County.

Protected area: 5 meters to the south, and 2 meters to the east, west, and north of the site and its foundation walls.

Construction control zone: 100 meters to the south, and 50 meters to the east, west, and north of the protected area.

Wawuji Village: Wawuji Village is situated in the far northwest of Tangjiahui Town, on the border between Anhui and Henan provinces, within the mountainous regions of the over 1,500-meter-high Jintangtai and Foshan Temple ranges. The current Wawuji Village was formed in April 2008 through the merger of four former villages—Waji, Shangtang, Zhanshan, and Foshan—comprising 49 villager groups, making it the most populous village in the town and even the county. The merged village now consists of 27 residential groups, with 1,579 households and a population of 6,323. The total mountain area spans 31,678 mu, and the arable land area covers 2,758 mu.
