Dating from the modern era, it is classified as an important modern historical site and representative building.

On June 21, 2019, the former site of a company barracks of the Pi Brigade during the Liu-Deng Army's advance into the Dabie Mountains was listed as part of the eighth batch of cultural heritage protection units in Jinzhai County.

Protection Area: The cultural relic itself and an additional 3 meters to the south and north beyond the wall foundation; 1 meter to the east and west.

Construction Control Zone: 60 meters beyond the protection area in all directions — east, south, west, and north.

Xizhuang Village: Located in the southern part of Wujiadian Town, Xizhuang Village borders Hubei Province and Luotian County. In February 2008, it merged with the former Xiaya, Miaogang, and Xizhuang villages to form the current Xizhuang Village. The village governs 20 villager groups, with 893 households and a population of 3,353. It covers an area of 22,392.7 mu, including 1,762.7 mu of paddy fields and 19,680 mu of mountainous land. It was once the seat of the former Xizhuang Township. The area includes the under-development Xizhuang Hot Springs.
