Tianjin Yiku Creative Industry Park is located at No. 11 Xiangtan Road, Hongqiao District, covering an area of 30,000 square meters. It consists of 16 buildings of various architectural styles from the 1950s to the 1990s, with a total floor space of 25,000 square meters. The park is adjacent to the Tianjin West Railway Station transportation and business district to the east, offering a strong commercial atmosphere and significant market demand for the development of creative industries; it faces the Guangrong Avenue Science and Technology Industry Park across the Tianjin Long-Distance Bus Station to the west, providing a geographical advantage for convenient integration between creative and technology industries, with vast spatial potential; it connects to the urban expressway, urban rail stations, and railway hub areas to the south, ensuring extremely convenient logistics and transportation conditions that effectively extend its reach; and it borders the Ziya River leisure economic belt to the north, standing across the river from the Pingjin Campaign Memorial Hall and the historically reconstructed Shuixizhuang Cultural Park. Yiku Creative Park is the first creative industry park in Tianjin formed through the comprehensive planning and renovation of old factory buildings. It is invested in, operated, and managed by Tianjin Yiku Creative Enterprise Management Service Co., Ltd. These buildings, which embody the industrial history of old Tianjin, have been creatively transformed by designers without compromising their original structures, highlighting the fusion of past and present. On September 28, 2007, after 70 days of overall renovation, Yiku officially opened. As the core part of the Xiangtan Road Creative Industry Cluster, the park is primarily positioned in the field of urban space design. Making full use of its carrier resources and locational advantages, it has transformed the former Tianjin Foreign Trade Carpet Factory into a model creative industry park.

Stepping into Yiku, everyone will experience a sense of time blending. Half a century ago, this was a bustling old-style light industrial carpet factory with production lines in full swing; half a century later, it has become a tranquil and leisurely creative district. The expansive factories, built with red bricks and solid wood, are open and airy, originally carrying the historical memory of Tianjin’s industrial cityscape, but now providing an ideal space for creative minds. Those industrial buildings exuding a retro and nostalgic vibe, paired with glass and steel-framed cantilevered structures, harmoniously integrate with contemporary architectural design principles such as simplicity, transparency, environmental friendliness, and energy efficiency. They embody Yiku’s philosophy of a comfortable, free, and sunny lifestyle and working environment, and have made Yiku a landmark and symbol of Tianjin’s creative industry.
