The Qiandao Lake Forest Oxygen Bar is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Qiandao Lake Forest Oxygen Bar is another ecotourism attraction launched by Qiandao Lake National Forest Park. Located on the picturesque southeastern edge of Qiandao Lake, adjacent to National Highway 320, it is just a 15-minute drive from Chun’an Qiandao Lake Town.

The attraction has been recognized and awarded titles such as “Best Ecological Attraction in Zhejiang Province,” “Environmental Education Base in Hangzhou City,” “Teaching Practice Base of Zhejiang Forestry University,” and “Hangzhou Municipal Forest Park.”

The forest oxygen bar boasts the best forest vegetation in Qiandao Lake (a national subtropical secondary primitive forest reserve), the most beautiful natural scenery (forests, waterfalls, and colorful rocks), and the optimal ecological environment (with extremely high negative ion content). The area surrounding the scenic spot features rolling green mountains and picturesque lake bays, offering a first-class natural ecological environment.

The scenic area is home to more than 300 species of plants, including the country’s largest wild sweet chinquapin forest, uniquely shaped karst limestone formations, and vividly colored sandy sedimentary rocks. Graceful winding streams, dynamic waterfalls, and colorful pools together create a diverse and ever-changing forest leisure landscape, often hailed as the “Shangri-La” of Qiandao Lake.

The attraction is divided into five major zones: the Waterfront Leisure Area, Tea Room Leisure Area, Forest Negative Ion Breathing Zone, Forest Leisure Zone, Forest Camping Zone, and Forest Science Education Zone.

It offers a range of eco-tourism activities that showcase the beauty of nature, such as forest walks, forest bathing, forest oxygen inhalation, stream tracing, rock climbing, camping, forest specimen collection, and an Environmental Education Exhibition Hall. There is also a Fishing Center (covering 400 acres of water), a Water Sports Center, as well as leisure and sports activities including cascading mountain waterfalls, mountain spring foot baths for fitness, adventure trails for thrill-seekers, rapid stream tracing, mountain climbing for panoramic views, and “shouting at the mountain” to cleanse the lungs.

Qiandao Lake Town: Qiandao Lake Town is the county seat of Chun’an County and serves as the political, economic, cultural, transportation, and information hub of the entire county. Covering an area of 284 square kilometers, it has a total population of 62,000. The town administers 34 administrative villages and 8 communities. It is 150 kilometers east of Hangzhou and 160 kilometers west of Huangshan. Provincial Highways 05 and 06 lead directly to the town, and the ongoing construction of the Hangzhou–Qiandao Lake Expressway is further enhancing its transportation advantages. With the advancement of its four-brand strategy, Qiandao Lake Town has gradually become a paradise for leisure vacations and wellness living, a base for China’s water industry, and a renowned rivers-and-mountains city in southern China.
