Tonglu Shenxian Cave

Shenxian Cave is located in Tonglu County, Zhejiang Province, to the left of Yaolin Wonderland, one of China’s Forty Famous Tourist Attractions, and about 90 kilometers from Hangzhou. The area features farms raising meat rabbits, native chickens, meat ducks, and fish ponds, as well as vast orchards of pears, peaches, persimmons, and chestnuts that cover the mountainsides—a scene of bountiful harvest and wild charm.

Shenxian Cave is famed for its thrilling, perilous, and extraordinary features. Initially explored by renowned Chinese adventurers, it is a classic example of karst topography—nature’s masterpiece, exquisitely formed. The cave has a complex interior terrain, making it an ideal spot for caving adventures. Additionally, the diverse stalactites and stalagmites within add an air of mystery. Its intricate layout makes it a prime location for cave exploration. The Shenxian Cave Science Exploration Base is situated in the Maoshanping Valley at an altitude of 800 meters, surrounded by green hills and bubbling springs, offering a rare sight of pristine mountains and waters for city dwellers. Visitors can camp here, enjoy farm-style meals, and take part in bonfire parties and barbecues.
