Shengjing Mountain Stone Temple is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Shengjing Mountain Stone Temple is located in Danan Township, Rui'an City, Zhejiang Province. With a long history, it was renowned among the people for its strong religious significance and stunning scenery even before the Ming Dynasty's Jiajing era. The temple was first built in the first year of the Jingding reign during the Southern Song Dynasty, and the existing structures were constructed between the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty and the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty. It is the earliest, largest, and best-preserved stone architectural complex in southern Zhejiang.

Shengjing Mountain Stone Temple is the earliest, largest, and relatively well-preserved stone architectural complex in our city. It holds significant reference value for the study of ancient Chinese stone architecture. In addition, the temple preserves numerous steles documenting the prayers for rain made by people from Wenzhou and Rui'an at Shengjing during the Song and Ming dynasties. These inscriptions record the years and details of major droughts and disasters, serving as valuable historical evidence for studying the patterns of natural disasters and meteorology in Wenzhou’s history.
