Jiuzhu Pond

Jiuzhu Pond is a key scenic area within the Zhailiaoxi Scenic Zone, located in Hangshan Village, Pingyangkeng Town, Rui’an City, right beside Provincial Highway 56. The scenic area consists of attractions such as the Jiuzhu Pond-Hangshan Gorge, Soaring Waterfall, and Divine Turtle Lake. It features crystal-clear pools, cascading waterfalls, and picturesque mountain scenery. The Jiuzhu Pond area itself is made up of nine emerald-green ponds linked in sequence, artfully arranged along less than 200 meters of valley. The stream at Rui’an’s Jiuzhu Pond stretches approximately 1.5 kilometers in length, originating from the local Bailong Pond. It flows through Divine Turtle Lake and the Hangshan Gorge, gathering numerous small streams along the way to form a larger stream. This creates over ten ponds including Jiuzhu Pond and Soaring Waterfall, as well as various waterfalls of differing heights—all of which flow year-round. Within the gorge, the stream rushes past steep cliffs, forming many stunning natural landscapes that are a feast for the eyes.
