　The Tongpan Island Scenic Area mainly consists of seven islands—Tongpan Island, Changdashan, Lizhi Mountain, Sanjian Niang, Jinyu, and Xiaotiao—as well as the nearby sea areas. It covers a total area of 6.2 square kilometers, including 2.31 square kilometers of land and 3.9 square kilometers of sea area, with a coastline stretching 21 kilometers. The nearest point to the mainland is 14.69 kilometers away, and it is 15.07 nautical miles from downtown Rui’an. Tongpan Island is a small island in the East China Sea outside the mouth of the Feiyun River, and it belongs to Beilong Township in Rui’an City.

Major tourist resources include: azure seas and beautiful islands—the scenic area is surrounded by surging blue waves and vast misty waters, while the lovely Tongpan Island shifts with the tides, brimming with charming maritime charm; the area is scattered with secluded caves and peculiar rocks, and rocky cliffs abound, featuring over 40 main attractions centered around tidal caves, among which Tongtian Cave, Hulu Cave, Flying Eagle Cave, and Santong Cave are relatively well-known. Tongtian Cave is set against steep cliffs, with sunlight shining through the cave’s roof—when the morning sun casts its glow, mist spreads and rainbows drift, while the natural marble inside the cave dazzles brilliantly, a sight rarely seen in the world. Flying Eagle Cave is known as the “Dragon Gate Surging Waves.” Santong Cave connects three caves that all face the sea on three sides, making it an ideal spot for sea viewing, and many peculiar rocks here are quite inspiring for romantic imaginations. Golden Sands and Fishing Fires—the scenic area’s beaches feature fine, expansive sands, with golden sands meeting the sea, forming a natural seaside bathing spot and an ideal venue for sailing competitions. On summer nights, when you gaze into the distance, you can see fishing boats dotting the vast waves, with fishing lights twinkling amid the water and the moon rising and falling on the waves, presenting a magical scene that is truly enchanting. There is also lush vegetation and an abundance of seafood. Additionally, there are numerous historical sites such as Ming Dynasty artillery battery ruins, the Bitter Sea Sweet Spring, Mazu Temple, and Guan Di Temple, giving the whole island a strong flavor of a fishing village.

The Tongpan Island Scenic Area features a winding coastline, azure seawater, verdant mountains, and a rich island atmosphere, along with precious cultural landscapes. It is an ideal destination for sightseeing and seaside vacationing, characterized by “azure seas and beautiful islands, diverse rock caves, and golden sands with fishing fires.”

Dongshan Subdistrict: Dongshan Subdistrict is located in the eastern part of Rui’an City, extending along the river and across the sea. To the north, it connects with Anyang New District, and to the south, it borders the Economic Development Zone. The subdistrict office is located at No. 555 Riguang Avenue.
