Hengjing Study

Hengjing Study is a cultural relic protection unit of Rui'an City.

Hengjing Study is located at No. 32, First Alley, Yuhai Subdistrict, Rui'an City. It was built in the early years of the Republic of China. The building is a two-story Western-style structure, with the main building featuring three bays in width, spanning a total width of 10.86 meters, and six bays in depth, covering a total depth of 10.05 meters. There are left and right wing rooms built in front of the main building, and the total floor area is approximately 170 square meters. The entire building adopts a Western architectural style while incorporating traditional Chinese construction techniques, blending East and West to create a rare residential example of Sino-Western architectural fusion.

Most of Li Li's lifetime earnings from teaching and writing were used to purchase books, which he shipped back to his hometown and stored in a specially built room named “Hengjing Study.”
