Lin Qingyun’s Residence

Lin Qingyun’s Residence is a cultural relic protection unit of Rui’an City.

Lin Qingyun’s Residence is located at No. 26 Gongyuan Road, Yuhai Subdistrict, Rui’an City. Built in the late Qing Dynasty, it faces south and consists of a main building and side wings on the left and right, all constructed with a brick-and-wood structure. The main building is a two-story structure, seven bays wide with a total width of 28.74 meters, and six bays deep with a total depth of 13.2 meters. It features a post-and-lintel frame construction with front and rear corridors. The front corridor is supported by round columns, while the rear corridor has square columns resting on bluestone plinths. The front eaves columns of the central and side bays are adorned with cantilevered pillars and hanging latticework, all exquisitely carved. The roof is of the hip-and-gable style with double eaves and overhanging wings. It is a relatively refined traditional residence from Rui’an’s late Qing period.
