He was stationed in Cangwu and commanded from Chuxiong, leading the combined armies of Yun and Guang for eight years. He fought in hundreds of battles, large and small, and repelled invading forces from Annam. After his death, the imperial court honored him with the ceremonial rites befitting a prince, and a grand tomb was constructed in Yunhe, bearing the inscription “Yun-Guang Military Patrol Archway” at its entrance...
