Memorial Hall of Yang Donghai

The Memorial Hall of Yang Donghai is located in Chenjiajing Village, Yunshan Subdistrict, on the northern outskirts of Lan City, seven kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 680 square meters, it was officially opened to the public on October 22, 1996. The exhibition space is divided into three main sections: the lecture hall, the exhibition hall, and the reception hall. The surroundings of the memorial hall are landscaped with lawns, flowers, and shaded trees. At that time, Liang Pingbo, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and head of the Propaganda Department, inscribed the words “A Good Cadre of the Party” for the memorial. In 2013, after renovation and reorganization of exhibits, the hall enriched its physical displays and video materials. The exhibition is divided into seven sections: Calling for Donghai, Path of Growth, Devotion to the Hometown, Serving the People, Indifference to Fame and Wealth, Dedication to Work, and Spirit Lives On. It displays personal belongings used by Yang Donghai during his lifetime, such as notebooks, rain boots, and raincoats, as well as certificates of honor.

The memorial hall has been designated as the Lanhé Patriotic Education Base, Lanhé Integrity Culture Education Base, Lanhé Cadre Scientific Development Concept Study and Practice Education Base, Lanhé Cadre Education and Training Field Teaching Demonstration Base, Jinhua Patriotic Education Base, Jinhua Integrity Culture Education Base, Jinhua Cadre Education and Training Field Teaching Demonstration Base, and Zhejiang Provincial Patriotic Education Base, among others.

Since its opening, under the care and support of higher-level leadership, the memorial hall has adhered to the principle of “upgrading facilities, organizing activities, and strengthening management” as its operational guideline, striving to build a distinctive Lanhé-based “Cadre Education Base,” “Integrity Culture Education Base,” and “Patriotic Education Base.” By the end of 2015, the hall had received over 100,000 visitors for learning and tours, playing a positive role in advancing the construction of the cadre team and the integrity culture within the city, as well as promoting the scientific development of the local economy and society.

Yunshan Subdistrict: Yunshan Subdistrict covers an area of 42.42 square kilometers and administers ten communities from the old urban area of Lanhé, along with 25 administrative villages and one fishing fleet in the eastern and northern suburbs, with a population of over 100,000. The area boasts convenient transportation, with highways, railways, and waterways all readily accessible. It is just five kilometers from the interchange of the Hang-Jin-Qu Expressway. Provincial Roads 45 and 47 connect to the northern urban economic belt. Approved by the municipal government, a 100-hectare industrial functional zone of Yunshan has been established alongside Provincial Road 47. This development has revitalized 105 acres of idle land and 32,500 square meters of unused factory buildings in the area, forming a new platform for economic growth.
