Located about 800 meters west of Xiali Village, Menghu Township. Li Yu (1611–1680), styled Lihong and also known as Liweng, was a native of Lanxi, Zhejiang. He was a writer and drama theorist of the Qing Dynasty. His notable works include "Xianqing Jiuji," "Bimuyu," and "Fengzheng Wu." Originally named Shiping Dam, Liyu Dam was designed and built by Li Yu when he served as the “Ancestral Hall Director” in his hometown. The dam is 9.7 meters long, 1.6 meters wide, and 3 meters high. It is constructed with red strip stones, and features a stone sluice at the base, which is normally sealed with wooden boards. When excessive silt accumulates in the dam, the sluice can be opened to clear it. The dam is still in use for irrigation today.
