Facing south, the hall has three sections from front to back, with side rooms, and measures 29.6 meters in total width and 41.7 meters in total depth. The first section has seven bays across, with left and right wing rooms. The front eaves gate features a four-pillar, five-story design with a brick-and-stone structure. The second section, the central hall, is three bays wide, surrounded by corridors on all sides, with a hip-and-gable roof. Its beam framework consists of a five-rafter system with double steps in the front and single steps in the back, along with front and rear corridors. The front corridor features a coffered ceiling, and some decorative components are exquisitely carved. The third section has five bays across with left and right side rooms. The beam framework is a six-rafter front-eaves corridor style, using a central column. Seven side rooms are located between the wing rooms of the first section and the side rooms of the third section.

The Shengtang Hu Clan Ancestral Hall is relatively large in scale, features exquisite carvings, and is largely well-preserved. It holds certain reference value for the study of local clan ancestral architecture during the Ming and Qing periods.

Shuiting She Ethnic Township: Shuiting She Ethnic Township is located on the western edge of Lanxi City, about 20 kilometers from the city center. It borders Longyou County to the west, Zhuge Town to the north, Menghu Township to the east, and Youbu Town to the south.

[Administrative History] During the Shaosing era of the Song Dynasty (1190–1194), Shui Qin from Tingxi Village, Putian County, returned to his hometown from Wuzhou. Upon hearing of the warfare in Fujian, he settled here and named the place Shuiting (Water Pavilion) in remembrance of his homeland. The township is home to 14 administrative villages where the She ethnic minority people of the Lei, Lan, and Zhong clans reside. In May 1992, Shuiting Township merged with Shengshan She Ethnic Township to form Shuiting Township. In September 1992, it was renamed Shuiting She Ethnic Township.
