Harmony Pottery Kiln Cluster

The Harmony Pottery Kiln Cluster is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang Province.

The Harmony Pottery Kiln Cluster is located in Qinghu Town, Jiangshan City, dating from the Qing Dynasty to the People's Republic of China.

Jiangshan’s Harmony Pottery Village has been famous since the Qing Dynasty for producing roof tiles and clay teapots. The village still has over 40 earthen kilns and preserves traditional pottery-making techniques, making it of significant value for the study and learning of ancient ceramics.

On January 7, 2011, it was announced as part of the sixth batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Units.

Qinghu Subdistrict: Qinghu Town is located in the southwestern suburbs of Jiangshan City, about 7.5 kilometers from the city center, covering an area of 67.2 square kilometers. It is one of the larger towns in Jiangshan. The town administers 1 neighborhood committee and 30 administrative villages, with a total of 9,400 households and a population of 32,000. In 2005, the town achieved a GDP of 457.9 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers increased to 5,680 yuan. Qinghu is an industrial hub, home to 38 large-scale enterprises with an output value exceeding 5 million yuan. It has now largely formed three key industries: plastic injection, electromechanical manufacturing, and wood processing.
