Nanjing Science and Technology Museum

The Nanjing Science and Technology Museum is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a cultural tourism site, and a science education base.

The Nanjing Science and Technology Museum is located in the scenic Ningnan New District of Yuhuatai District, by the beautiful Huashen Lake. It covers a total area of 300,000 square meters, with the main building occupying 34,000 square meters, and an investment of 350 million RMB. The museum is divided into four parts: the Exhibition & Film Area, Youth Activity Area, Tea Garden Viewing Area, and Wetland Leisure Area. The main building consists of permanent exhibition halls, temporary exhibition halls, and conference and lecture halls. The permanent exhibition halls break away from traditional concepts and are divided into four floors based on the themes of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity. They feature four major themed exhibition areas—Smart Humans, Earth Wonders, Creative World, and Children’s Science Park—as well as an Animation Experience Hall and a Public Safety Education Exhibition Hall.

Among the over 300 exhibits, 70% are interactive, allowing visitors to personally experience the unique sensations brought by science, appreciate its charm, and discover its subtle power in enhancing young people’s intelligence. Here, visitors can enjoy the thrill and fun of simulated driving and flying; witness the scientific mysteries behind phenomena such as high-voltage discharges and hair-raising static electricity, achieving an educational and entertaining experience.

Blending technology with humanity and nature with art, the Nanjing Science and Technology Museum serves as a key platform for science education for millions of minors in Nanjing and youths across the province. Upholding a people-oriented philosophy, it has created a distinctive modern science-themed park, offering a broader world for young people to understand and explore science.

Park Entry Guidelines

1. Opening Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00–17:00. Ticket sales and entry stop after 15:00 daily. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

2. For your convenience, large luggage can be stored free of charge at the North Gate Visitor Service Center. Please keep valuables with you.

3. For safety reasons, minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

3. During your visit, please take care of the exhibits, behave courteously, and follow the instructions on exhibit signs or guidance from staff.

4. Please keep your personal belongings secure during your visit to avoid loss.

5. In case of emergencies, please follow the instructions of on-site staff and evacuate via designated routes.

Movie Viewing Guidelines

1. The 3D Digital Cinema operates from Monday to Sunday. For specific showtimes and ticket prices, please check the 3D Digital Cinema Schedule.

2. The IMAX Dome Theater and 4D Dynamic Theater are open on Saturdays and Sundays. For specific showtimes and ticket prices, please check the Dome and 4D Theater Schedules.

3. Please keep the cinema environment clean. Smoking and eating snacks are not allowed during the movie.
