The Joint Tomb of Soldiers and Horses from the Xinhai Campaign is a cultural relic protection unit of Nanjing City.

The Joint Tomb of Soldiers and Horses from the Xinhai Campaign is located on the cliff of the northeastern slope of the Martyrs' Sculpture Park at Yuhuatai. In October 1911, the Wuchang Uprising broke out. The Ninth Town of the New Army in Nanjing was the first to respond, staging an uprising at Maling Pass outside Zhonghua Gate and launching an attack on Nanjing. Later, due to a shortage of ammunition and heavy casualties, they were forced to retreat to Zhenjiang. There, they joined forces with part of the Zhenjiang New Army as the core, expanded the organization into the Jiangsu-Zhejiang Allied Army, and launched another attack on Nanjing. They eventually defeated the Qing army and reclaimed Nanjing. Later generations buried the soldiers and horses who sacrificed their lives in this campaign in two joint tombs and erected a monument in their memory.
