The Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Museum is located at No. 48 Andemen Street, Yuhuatai District, Nanjing. It is the first “Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Museum” in Jiangsu Province, privately invested by Mr. Wu Xianbin without a single cent from the government. There are only two such large-scale private anti-Japanese war museums in all of China.

The Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Museum has two floors and consists of three sections: exhibitions, a library, and meeting rooms. The first floor mainly displays photos and artifacts from the war period. The exhibits are divided into two parts: the first is “The Indictment of Nanjing City,” and the second is “People Who Refused to Be Slaves.” These sections showcase 618 historical photos and over 200 anti-Japanese relics from the war. The other floor includes an anti-war book collection room, an academic exchange meeting room, and an expert research office.

To commemorate the indomitable resistance of countless Chinese who sacrificed their lives during the Anti-Japanese War, and to preserve the factual evidence of the atrocities committed by the invaders, leaving behind an unquestionable true history for future generations—Wu Xianbin uses his more than 1,300 exhibits and rational perspective to strengthen national memory. He provides people, especially young people, with a window to understand real history and a base for patriotic education. At the same time, it is also a historical museum that reflects, from a unique angle, the memories and reflections left by the Anti-Japanese War on the Chinese people. It is definitely worth a visit.
