Jiangyin Museum

Jiangyin Museum is located on the west side of Tianhua Cultural Square in the eastern new district of Jiangyin. The museum was first established in 1988, and the new building was completed and opened to the public on October 1, 2005, covering an area of 12,000 square meters. Jiangyin Museum is part of the Tianhua Cultural Center, which is named after the famous master of traditional Chinese music, Liu Tianhua.

The three-story museum houses 14 exhibition halls, including the Jiangyin Ancient History Hall, Ceramics Hall, Tao Bai Calligraphy and Painting Hall, Gold, Silver, Jade and Stone Hall, Bronze Ware Hall, Ancient Stone Carvings Hall, Ancient Stone Inscriptions Hall, Ming and Qing Dynasty Costumes Hall, Buddhist Relics Hall, the Achievements of the Liu Brothers Hall, Natural Specimens Hall, Huaxingcai Unusual Stones Hall, and Mineral Specimens Hall. The foyer, spanning over 400 square meters, is equipped with audio facilities and can serve students and social groups. Moving inside, you’ll find the central hall, where a wide marble staircase is centrally located, covering an area of about 400 square meters and connecting to the foyer, together forming a spacious public area for visitors. The glass roof allows for natural lighting, creating a bright and comfortable environment. The area also features rest areas with large-screen TVs that play documentaries on archaeology and related topics.

The museum also has a high-standard academic lecture hall with nearly 200 seats, equipped with advanced facilities such as projectors. Nearby, there is a premium VIP reception room to accommodate domestic and even international academic conferences. Additionally, there are public service facilities such as a souvenir shop and a lounge bar for visitors.
