Jurong Immortal Cave

The Immortal Cave is located on the northern side of Damao Peak, featuring unique landscapes inside. The currently accessible part of the cave stretches over 250 meters in length and consists of three levels, all interconnected.

Entering the 150-meter-long lower cave from the entrance, you’ll find stalagmites, stalactites, and natural marble scattered throughout, their green and white colors creating a jade-like effect. The cave features murmuring streams and oddly shaped rocks, forming streams, rivers, springs, bridges, hills, and caves. The middle cave has four naturally formed chambers, surrounded by stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers. Some are as white as precious jade, some as red as rouge, and others as green as emerald garments—each uniquely shaped and spectacular.

In the first chamber, a cluster of stalactites resembles the “Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea” when viewed from afar. In the second chamber, the stalactites look like hanging lanterns in a dragon palace. The third chamber is uniquely designed, with stalactites forming undulating mountain ranges. On one of the mountains lies a 1.2-meter-long “sea turtle,” and on its back is a formation resembling the monk Xuanzang on his journey to retrieve Buddhist scriptures, with a “phoenix” spreading its wings above. In the fourth chamber, upon closer inspection, the “Eight Hundred Arhats” appear vividly lifelike. The upper cave is shrouded in mist, making visitors feel as if they are walking on clouds.
