China ShenNiu Rosewood Art Museum

China ShenNiu Rosewood Art Museum is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

As the largest private rosewood art museum in China, China ShenNiu Rosewood Art Museum covers an area of 25 acres with an exhibition space of over 12,000 square meters.

The museum’s collection features nearly 4,000 precious rosewood artifacts across ten major categories. Among them, the “No.1 Bed of China,” personally designed by Niu Ruisheng, Chairman of Jiangsu ShenNiu (Group) Furniture Co., Ltd., is an exquisite masterpiece of exceptional value. It required nearly 50 tons of raw materials, covers an area of 60.4 square meters, and features carvings on the front that represent the totems, patterns, and cultural explanations of China’s 56 ethnic groups. This bed was crafted over three years by 11 rosewood masters specializing in wood, carving, and lacquerwork, and has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records (Shanghai) with a certificate as the “No.1 Bed of China.” Another highlight is the “Rosewood Bao’en Pagoda,” modeled after the shape of the Bao’en Pagoda at Nanjing’s Ming Dynasty Bao’en Temple. Created by four master carpenters over nearly three years, the pagoda stands 3.2 meters tall and 0.68 meters in diameter, with all dimensions based on auspicious measurements from the Lu Ban ruler. It is considered the museum’s prized treasure.
