Zhenjiang Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

Zhenjiang Martyrs' Cemetery is situated on the scenic Qianfeng Peak of Beigu Mountain. Built in 1966, it currently spans nearly 100 acres. During the Opium Wars, this was the site of the ancient battleground of the 13 gates from the Zhenjiang Defense Battle. In the period of the Second Revolutionary Civil War, it was the provincial capital of Jiangsu Province and the location of the Nationalist Military Tribunal. At the foot of Beigu Mountain, it served as an execution ground where the reactionary Kuomintang executed Communists, with the blood of hundreds of revolutionary martyrs spilled here, earning it the nickname "Little Rain Flower Terrace." It also witnessed the fall of Zhenjiang to Japanese forces in 1937. As an important historical and revolutionary memorial site in Zhenjiang, over the 46 years since its establishment—and with the care and support of the municipal Party committee, municipal government, and all sectors of society—the cemetery has successively built multiple revolutionary memorial sites, including the Martyrs' Monument, Martyrs' Tomb, Martyrs' Memorial Hall, the Zhenjiang Revolutionary Struggle History Relief Wall, the Warning Monument, the "Beigu Heroes" Group Sculpture, the Zhonglie Temple Stele Pavilion, the Beigu Martyrs' Martyrdom Site, and the "Beigu Heroes" Martyrs' Poetry and Prose Wall. Notably, the Martyrs' Memorial Hall displays the heroic deeds of over 230 out of the more than 3,000 martyrs from Zhenjiang who sacrificed their lives either in Zhenjiang or elsewhere, among whom Zhao Sheng, Li Chaoshi, Guo Ganglin, and Xu Xinghu are renowned martyrs known across the province and even the nation.
