Site of the Heshan Quick-Fire Battery Ruins

The Site of the Heshan Quick-Fire Battery is a protected cultural heritage site of Jiangsu Province.

The Heshan Battery is located on the eastern mountaintop of Heshan and was under the jurisdiction of the Xiangshan Battery in the Zhenjiang Fortress. The Quick-Fire Battery consists of a group of four batteries arranged in a north–south, slightly eastward orientation, with each spaced 27.2 meters apart, stretching over a total length of about 100 meters. Behind each battery there is a covered passageway connected to an underground-style ammunition depot.

In March 2019, the Site of the Heshan Quick-Fire Battery was included in the eighth batch of Protected Cultural Heritage Sites of Jiangsu Province.
