Yan Bridge

Yan Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangsu Province.

Yan Bridge is located in Dongshantou Village, Sanbao Town, Tongshan District. It was built in the 18th year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1591). The bridge has a fan-shaped structure, constructed from blue flagstones with iron slag poured into the joints. Beneath the bridge are three tiers of water areas featuring stone dragons, stone turtles, and stone ducks. The patterns on the bridge railings are still clearly visible. Originally, there was a pair of stone lions at each end of the bridge, but they were later stolen. During the Anti-Japanese War, it was bombed by Japanese forces. However, the sturdy structure of the bridge prevented it from being destroyed.

Yan Bridge is a municipal-level key cultural relic protection unit, and the bridge structure is currently well preserved.
