Yudai River Scenic Belt

The Yudai River Scenic Belt is part of the Yunlong Scenic Tourism Area, located to the southwest of Xuzhou city center, south of Tongshan Hanwang New Town, and adjacent to Yunlong Lake. The Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway and the city’s Third Ring Road run through the planned area, offering excellent transportation access.

The Yudai River Scenic Belt is rich in natural landscape resources and home to numerous historical and cultural relics. It includes 16 natural and cultural sites such as the Yudai River, Bajian Spring, Sword-Wiping Stone, Mapao Spring, Laolong Pool, Qunyang Slope, Hanwang Reservoir, Shizu, Ten-Mile Grape Corridor, Shigang Reservoir, the site of the Huaihai Campaign Headquarters, a statue of Liu Bang, Huangqiao Bridge, Zhang Zhupo’s Tomb, Yudai Bridge, and Hanwang Temple.

As a large-scale tourism and resort base in the urban periphery, the Yudai River Scenic Belt will be developed into a leisure and vacation destination with a “One Belt, Nine Pearls” landscape layout. The “One Belt” refers to the landscape axis centered around the Yudai River, a waterway that runs through the entire planned area, connecting Yunlong Lake and Bajian Spring. The riverbanks are lined with picturesque waterway scenery or green open spaces dominated by woodlands and farmland, forming a typical ecological landscape corridor that links various construction zones, scenic areas, and activity zones within the belt. The “Nine Pearls” refer to key eco-tourism attractions, strung along the river like pearls on a thread, adorning both banks of the Yudai River. These nine attractions are: “Serene Azure Reflections” (the starting point of the Yudai River Scenic Belt, featuring Yudai Square and a water-friendly ecological leisure area); “Floral Springs and Fields” (an agritainment experience zone, including eco-agricultural picking sightseeing areas, ecological farms, and resort areas); “Sacred Retreat from the Mundane” (located in the northeast of the planned land, housing a Taoist cultural center and a Taoist wellness area); “Fragrant Blossoms and Falling Petals” (featuring flower and fruit tree plantations, as well as picking centers and agricultural sightseeing hubs); “Celestial Bow and Level Woods” (situated in the middle section of the Yudai River, with a large health and fitness recreation base); “Hidden Vale Amidst Boundaries” (on the west side of the Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway, with a business wellness resort, hotel conference center, and eco-themed park); “Bamboo Grove Valley” (northwest of Bajian Spring, featuring a high-end sports resort area); “Elegant Abode in Misty Rain” (making full use of existing buildings in Hanwang Town to create an agro-ecological experience zone); and “Confluence of Springs and Jade” (the final stretch of the Yudai River Scenic Belt, where the Yudai River meets Bajian Spring, home to a large-scale park themed around Han culture).
