Wuming Mountain Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Wuming Mountain Park is located east of the Tongshan New District administrative area, south of Changjiang Road, and west of Hengshan Road, covering an area of 280 acres. To the north is Kangleyuan, a relatively large residential community in the Tongshan New District, while to the east lies Nanyang International Residential Area, which is currently under construction.

The park is connected by urban roads on all sides, with residential communities, government offices, schools, kindergartens, and libraries in the vicinity. With a diverse population and high foot traffic, Wuming Mountain Park serves as a hub for citizens’ leisure activities and a spiritual home, reflecting the ecological and cultural taste of the new district’s green space system.

The design of Wuming Mountain Park draws on the landscaping techniques of Suzhou gardens, combining the grandeur and boldness of northern gardens with the delicacy and charm of southern ones. The overall layout mimics nature, with the lake as the centerpiece, integrating water and mountain landscapes. The vast lake surface and Wuming Mountain form the park’s unique scenic highlight.

The park features over ten distinctive garden attractions, including the Moon-Viewing Pavilion, Fuyuan Garden, Wang Xuezhong Art Gallery, Peony Garden, Chinese Zodiac Square, Xinyu Square, Tree-Shaded Square, Chinese Knot, and the Waterfront Scenic Belt. In addition, the park offers various fitness and recreational facilities for citizens, such as a fitness square, children’s play area, gateball court, badminton court, tai chi plaza, and youth camping area.

The Waterfront Scenic Belt mainly showcases small island wetland landscapes, with several squares scattered along the green spaces on both sides of the waterway for public relaxation. The water system is adorned with pavilions, small bridges, cascading water features, and waterfront platforms, achieving a landscape effect of blooming flowers three seasons a year and evergreen foliage all year round.

The open-up project of Wuming Mountain Park embodies the concept of “returning green space to the people and sharing resources,” providing residents of Tongshan District with a city-center green space that integrates sightseeing, leisure, culture, sports, and entertainment. It adds another beautiful attraction to Xuzhou, a forest city, and is currently applying for national AAA-level tourist attraction status.
