The Mudong River East Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Lianyungang City.

Mudong River East Bridge (1891)

The Mudong River East Bridge is located east of Liugou Village, Menhe Town, Ganyu District, Lianyungang City. It is a small stone bridge from the Qing Dynasty, built in the 17th year of the Guangxu reign (1891). Situated at the intersection of the "Hedong" Beiganmen Highway and the Zhuji River, it was still in use during the early years after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Later, when the highway was moved southward, the bridge gradually fell into disuse.

The Mudong River East Stone Bridge is 14 meters long and 2.4 meters wide. Its deck consists of 25 flagstones, one of which is now missing. The flagstones are mostly uniform in size, measuring 2.3 meters in length, 0.4–0.5 meters in width, and 0.28 meters in thickness. There are five sets of bridge piers.

As a late Qing Dynasty structure, the Mudong River East Bridge features an elegant design and holds significant historical value. It provides valuable reference for the study of modern architecture in the Ganyu area.
