Bailu Spring is a cultural relic protection unit of Lianyungang City.

Bailu Spring

Located at the village committee office of Jiefang Village, Shahe Town, Ganyu District, Lianyungang City. Dug during the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, the spring mouth is square-shaped, each side measuring 3.33 meters wide. The well walls are built with millstones—eight stones per side, 32 stones per layer, stacked up to five layers to reach the top, totaling 160 stones. Hence the name “Bailu Spring” (Hundred Millstone Spring). The spring is about three meters deep, and the water quality is excellent.

In 2010, it was announced by the municipal government as part of the fourth batch of cultural relic protection units in Lianyungang City.

East to the west courtyard wall of the Jiefang Village Committee Office in Shahe Town (3 meters), west to the east courtyard wall of villager Li Dawen’s house (4 meters), north to the south courtyard wall of the Bailu Spring Water Plant (10 meters), south to the entrance gate of the village committee (10 meters).
